Hempel Hard Racing is compatible with a variety of substrates, including Glass Fibre, Wood, Plywood, and steel, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of high-speed vessels. However, it is crucial to note that it is not suitable for aluminium or light-alloy metals due to the risk of corrosion upon direct contact.

Compatibility and Application:

• Primer: Hempel's Light Primer or Hempel's Underwater Primer if necessary
• Thinner/Cleaner: Hempel's Thinner 08080 or 808 (08081) for equipment
• Application: Can be applied via brush, roller, or paint pad with a maximum thinning volume of 5%.
  
  

To maintain its hard, impermeable surface, two coats at a dry film thickness of 40 microns each are recommended, with an additional coat applied around the waterline and other high-wear areas for enhanced protection.

Drying Time and Application Conditions:

• At 10°C: Touch dry in 30 minutes
• At 20°C: Touch dry in 15 minutes
• At 30°C: Touch dry in 9 minutes
• Relative Humidity must be below 85% during application.
  
  

For ultimate adhesion and performance, apply on a clean, dry surface above the dew point to avoid condensation interference. Hempel Hard Racing offers a resilient layer with a recommended dry film thickness of 40 microns and requires a minimum of 24 hours at 20°C before immersion, with a maximum window of 6 months for flexibility in scheduling.

• Shelf Life: 60 months in original, unopened containers at 25°C
• Storage Conditions: Store at temperatures above 5°C without direct sunlight, protected from rain and snow.
