Application Details

• Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. New builds require substrate preparation per Hempel's primer instructions. Maintenance and repair vary from applying one coat of Hempel's Conversion Primer to a full primer re-application depending on the condition.
• Thinner: No thinning required.
• Cleaner: Hempel's Thinner 808 (08081)
• Pot Life at 20°C (68°F): 60 minutes

Drying and Overcoating Times

• At 10°C (50°F): Hard dry in 3 hours; fully cured in 4 days.
• At 20°C (68°F): Hard dry in 1.5 hours; fully cured in 2 days.
• At 30°C (86°F): Hard dry in 1 hour; fully cured in 1 day.
• Overcoating Intervals for Hempel's Silic One: Minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 48 hours at 20°C.

Application Conditions

• Surface Temperature: Above 10°C (50°F) during application and curing.
• Relative Humidity: Between 30-85% during application and curing.

Product Compatibility

• Previous Coat: Hempel's Light Primer, Hempel's Silic Seal, Hempel's Conversion Primer.
• Subsequent Coat: Hempel's Silic One, Hempel's Silic Pro.

Storage and Shelf Life

• Shelf Life: 18 months at 25°C (77°F) when stored in original, unopened containers.
• Storage Conditions: Store at 5°C (41°F) or higher, away from direct sunlight, rain, and snow.

Application Recommendations

For optimal results, stir the product well before use, apply one coat without thinning, and adhere strictly to overcoating times and application conditions. Ensure sufficient ventilation and avoid condensation on the freshly applied coating.
