Victron Quattro Inverter/Charger 48V 5000VA 70A-2x100A
An inverter charger combines the power of an inverter and a battery charger into one unit, saving space and ease of installation with less cabling. While hooked up to an AC source such as the grid or a generator, you can charge your batteries and run your appliances straight from the source. Taking the load off your batteries ensuring you have plenty of juice in your batteries for when you’re not hooked up to power.
Victron is renowned for their long-lasting build quality and ease of use, the Quatro is no expectation, it has all the same features as the Multiplus except it has two AC inputs so you can wire into the grid and a generator at the same time, the Quattro will automatically pick the active source to run your appliances and charge your batteries as needed.
This inverter charger can power up to 4000W continuous and offer 70A of charge to your 48V batteries. When hooked up to grid power the inverter load is taken directly from the grid, the 2nd AC output goes live and you can run up to a total of 100A worth of appliances through output 1 or 2 without taking power from your batteries.

Inverter Charger Installation Guide
Similar to the MultiPlus, the Quattro 48/5000/70-100 is also a combined inverter and charger. Additionally it can accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology plus multiple system integration features such as three or split phase operation and parallel operation.
Features of the Quattro 48/5000-70-100
Two AC Inputs & two AC Outputs
The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example shore-side power and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro will automatically connect to the active source. The main output has no-break functionality. In the event of a grid failure, or shore or generator power being disconnected, the Quattro takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption. The second output is live only when AC is available on one of the inputs of the Quattro. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as air-conditioning or a water heater can be connected to this output.
Unique PowerAssist feature
The Quattro will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Quattros can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. Please check our datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three phase and split phase capabilities.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Quattro and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website.
