International Ultra 300 Hard Antifouling Paint

International Ultra 300 is a hard-type antifouling paint specifically engineered for high performance and durability in the most challenging fouling conditions. It is a robust solution designed to provide up to a year of protection for vessels navigating both fresh and saltwater environments. Its tough, scrubbable finish is ideal for fast powerboats and any streamlined yacht. It is particularly suitable for areas experiencing significant marine growth, high fowling areas.

• Specific Gravity: 1.9 average
• Volume Solids: 58% average
• Shelf Life: Typically 2 years

Drying and Overcoating Information

• Touch Dry Times: Vary from 20 mins at 35°C (95°F) to 1 hour at 5°C (41°F)
• Immersion Times: Can be immersed after 6 hours at 35°C (95°F) to 24 hours at 5°C (41°F) with a maximum immersion time of 6 months across the temperature range.

Application Details:

• Substrate Compatibility: Suitable for GRP, Wood, Steel/Iron, and Lead. Not suitable for Aluminium/Alloy or zinc sprayed surfaces.
• Primer Recommendations: Gelshield 200 for GRP, Interprotect or Primocon for Steel/Iron/Lead/Wood.
• Mixing: Stir to uniform consistency before use.
• Thinning: Not recommended to ensure performance.
• Cleaner: YTA085 Thinner No.3
• Application Methods: Airless Spray (Professional only), Brush, Roller
• Number of Coats: 2 coats of 60 microns dry by brush/roller or 1 coat of 120 microns dry by spray.
• Theoretical Spreading Rate: 10m²/L per coat by brush/roller, 5m²/L per coat by spray.
• Practical Coverage: 9m²/L per coat by brush/roller, 3m²/L per coat by spray.
• Recommended DFT per coat: 60 microns dry by brush/roller, 120 microns dry by spray.
• Recommended WFT per coat: 103 microns wet by brush/roller, 206 microns wet by spray.

Safety and Storage

• Storage Conditions: Store between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
• Safety Measures: Contains biocides; wet sanding only, never dry sand or burn-off old antifoulings.
• Disposal: Harden the paint before disposal; do not pour into watercourses.

Important Considerations

• Apply extra stripe coats in high-wear areas.
• Ensure adequate ventilation during application.
• Substrate temperature must be a minimum of 5°C/41°F and a maximum of 35°C/95°F.
