The Garmin Striker Vivid range is for those looking for just
a powerful Fishfinder. The SV like the CV offers both CHIRP scanning sonar to
help you find fish with great clarity and CHIRP DownVu showing the bottom
structure in high detail under your boat, however it also includes SideVu, giving
you a bird’s eye view of the bottom structure off either side of your boat allowing
you to find spots even if you haven’t gone directly above them.
As a Fishfinder, the Striker doesn’t include chart functionality
but the inbuild GPS shows your speed, allows you to save the best spots so you
can find them again quickly next time you’re out. Using the transducer, you can
also build up your own detailed charts using the inbuilt quickdraw contours
feature. As Fishfinder only, the Striker SV does exactly what it says on the
tin.
