An inverter charger combines the power of an inverter and a battery charger into one unit, saving space and ease of installation with less cabling. While hooked up to an AC source such as the grid or a generator, you can charge your batteries and run your appliances straight from the source. Taking the load off your batteries ensuring you have plenty of juice in your batteries for when you’re not hooked up to power.
Victron is renowned for their long-lasting build quality and ease of use, the Multiplus is no exception. This inverter charger can power up to 2400W continuous and offer 120A of charge to your 12V batteries while the additional charger output offers 4A to your starter batteries. When hooked up to 230V the inverter load is taken directly from the grid and the 2nd AC output goes live where you can run up to a total of 50A of appliances through either output 1 or 2 without taking power from your batteries.

Inverter Charger Installation Guide
The 12/3000/120-50 MultiPlus, as the name suggests, is a combined inverter and charger in one elegant package. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, plus multiple system integration features.
Features of the MultiPlus 12/3000/120-50
Unique PowerAssist feature
The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. Please check our datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three phase and split phase capabilities.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC for multiple operating systems. There is no end to the level of control, from adjusting your Multi to auto starting a backupgenerator and more…
Want to have perfect control over your system from wherever you are whilst using your MultiPlus 12/3000, why not have a look at the Cerbo GX. Simply connect through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, or access directly, using the separate GX Touch, a MFD or the VictronConnect App thanks to its added Bluetooth capability. This latest addition to the GX-range combines all the best of connectivity, redefining smart power solutions in every way.
