The Furuno BR540 Cabin Alarm Panel is installed in Deck Officer cabins and any public areas like lounges, mess room, conference rooms and the galley. The number of BR540 Cabin Alarm Panels you need for your ship will vary depending on the class authority requirements but you may need up to 12 BR540 Cabin Alarm Panels. The Furuno BR540 Cabin Alarm Panel works in conjunction with the Furuno BR500 BNWAS Bridge Navigation Watch Safety System and notifies backup officers of a possible problem with the watch officer. This is a safety feature and required for all IMO vessels, mandated by regulation MSC.128(75). .
